IZAIZA

I seriously think that there is nothing more beautiful then putting his own illustration, his own handwriting on somebody’s art. May sound crazy, but here is what I mean: like for example when an illustrator is changing a fashion editorial and gives it his/her own personal touch. And real talk, from what I have seen in the fashion industry, it’s taking it to a whole nother level most of the time.

This is what happend for a fashion editorial by Wunderkind with a little magic of illustrator IZAIZA. Don’t get me wrong the campaign itself is absolutely amazing, but with IZAIZA’s art it just got a little more umpf, if you know what I mean?!

IZAIZA lives and works as an artist in Hamburg/Germany. She has been working as a freelancer art director/ graphic designer since 2005 for a variety of agencies, corporate clients and music labels like whatpeopleplay and wordandsound. An illustration is a visualization or a depiction of a subject made by an artist, such as a drawing, sketch, painting, photograph, or other kind of image of things seen, remembered or imagined, using a graphical representation. And she knows what she’s doing. Check this shit out:

AraabMuzik

AraabMuzik is the stage name of Abraham Orellana, who is an American record producer and DJ. And I had the chance to see him on a concert a couple of weeks ago.
AraabMuzik first rose to fame after showcasing his skills of making live beats and instrumentals on a Music Production Center (MPC) drum machine. He uses MPC to produce rapid, rhythmic drum patterns and creates melodies with samples and other sounds. And these sounds are everything! He has worked with several artists including ASAP Rocky and ASAP Mob, Cam’ron, Azealia Banks, Vado, The Diplomats, Hell Rell, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent andEminem, among many others.

And since pictures are not the best thing to showcase his talent, you absolutely have to watch this video:

These beats, tho!

Tinashe

The things I am not, but should talk more about: Tinashe.
It’s actually about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I went to the concert in Hamburg/Germany. Having her performance still in mind is just speaking for the impression she left on me. And the concert was def worth it.

In case you don’t know Tinashe yet: she is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, actress, director, and former model. She began her entertainment career at the age of 3 and so she has been in the game for a minute, which you can see in her very professional performance. But she only got my attention when her debut solo album Aquarius was released last year. She is bringing a specific RnB sound to the music industry which reminds me of the 90’s (and I don’t even know why) and her song Cold Sweat has been on my ITunes list since it got out.

So basically what I am trying to say is: go to her concert!

The Shit I’m Wearing: Adidas

For this post I tried to make something different and keep it as real and urban as possible. And maybe just because this was the most spontaneous #ootd shooting I have ever done. And in my mind I thought:  If Karl can use his Ipad, then I can use my Iphone (basically that’s what I say all the time).  So this is what happened:

Me and a friend of mine where walking down the city when we heard classical music coming out of this building. And so we entered it, I was literally like: My outfit is all Adidas everything, this building is fucking insane, let’s take these pictures! And btw this was the most relaxing shooting I have ever done.

And I am just obsessed with the Adidas shoes and sweater I am wearing. And if I wasn’t a fashion blogger I would say that I wear it almost every day, but this is probably not a part of the blogging etiquette.
So the sweater is from Nigo’s first Adidas collection named Originals by Nigo, who is inspired by vintage sportswear. And in case you don’t know who Nigo is, you should do some research! But most definitively you have seen his face somewhere! To make it super short: Nigo is a Japanese music producer and DJ who worked with Pharrell and the creator of the urban clothing line A Bathing Ape. And the Adidas collection is sooooo good! The Shit I’m Wearing: Riding Dirty

They see me rolling, they hating, they trying to catch me riding dirty…

That’s exactly how I felt when I had the chance to test drive Jaano. Never heard of it? Well, that’s what I am here for.
Founded by the two friends Jaan Hofmann and Tino Hoffrichter, Jaano is offering scooter sharing to everybody living in Hamburg (and it will probably spread out to your city soon, so just watch out). It’s the perfect solution for traffic and transportation in urban areas, since you can rent the scooter for as much time as you need and just park wherever. No strings attached, because you pay for the time you use the Jaano scooter and wherever you find one of these you can hopp on and off anytime. The concept is simple and genius at the same time! You just have to register (and of course have a driver’s licence and stuff like that) and off you go.

And since I am a huge fan of it, I did put on my good outfit and got myself up on that  Vespa Primavera 50 4T 4V. Take a look (a little posing never hurt nobody)! VROOM VROOM!
Jaano Weekday weekday I don't give a fuck Jaano JaanoThe idea is dope as fuck and you will definitely gonna catch me riding on this in Hamburg, so make sure you like Jaano on Facebook!

And btw: wanna shop the look? Here you go:
1. Sweater: Weekday (it’s on sale)
2. Shirt: Asos
3. Jeans: Cheap Monday
4. Shoes: Superga
5. Socks: Bought them in Patrica Field‘s store in NYC and I couldn’t find them online...

Live in Concert

Went to the Sam Smith concert yesterday, but to be honest he wasn’t the one I was impressed by. Like he was singing way too many ballads, which (please don’t get me wrong) were good, but if I go to a concert I just wanna dance my ass off.  So the up-tempo songs were slowed down and I was just not feeling it. The arrangement for “La la la” feat Hotel Cabana was my shit! And even though the music might not be for me, Sam’s voice is beautiful!
Processed with VSCOcam with p5 presetBut who really impressed me was the supporting act Years & Years. I haven’t heard from them before and the second the first beat dropped, me and my friend were like: “Ok, they must be from London. This is very UK.” And we were right! The band members Olly, Michael and Emre are a soulfoul electronic pop band from London. And their music is way too dope to not blog about it.
