Been a long time since a post came up on this page. But I have been away and feel free to guess which city it was (ok it’s not like I didn’t use it as title for this post…not at all).
So feel free insert Kanye/Jay-Z lyrics here.
Chanel Cruise Seoul just happened.
And this collection is actually one of the better ones (don’t kill me for saying that). Karl Lagerfeld is taking traditional elements from the Korean culture and combining it with the typical Chanel look. And maybe my fantasy is too much right now, but some looks remind me of a kick ass Street Fighter character. Like a couture kick ass character.
This right here is again a mandatory post and long overdue. Like long overdue. It’s so long overdue that I feel like I am loosing the title as ChanelKid. But however this time I am showing you Chanel FW15, but from a male perspective and only focusing on the menswear. And this is why: Coco and the whole brand is considered to be a female brand, but still you can find so much masculinity. And not a lot of labels can catch femininity and masculinity the way Karl Lagerfeld/ Chanel does. I could discuss this forever, but fuck it, I don’t have the time for it right now.
I seriously will never understand why museums and artists do not allow us to take pictures from their exhibitions, especially when it’s photography. Like isn’t art there for to share it? Or are you so so so eager to make money out of it? And I will transform into a undercover agent every single time, gonna take pictures until I got the point why taking pictures is not allowed. So during Berlin Fashion Week for the first time in Berlin, the Kunstbibliothek – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin presents the work of the influential photographer Mario Testino at the Kulturforum.
The show Mario Testino In Your Face (20 January – 26 July 2015) presents the full range of his photographic work, in 125 images, placing particular emphasis on its provocative contrasts. If you don’t know how Mario Testino is by now, you definitely did something wrong with your life (just kidding). Check out Artsy’s Mario Testino page for more information about Testino. But the exhibition is dope as fuck (attention this post contains nudity!):
